Camacho Nicaragua Robusto
Forget for a moment that the Camacho Nicaragua is made in Honduras and only contains some Nicaraguan tobacco in the filler. Instead, focus on the fact that Camacho Nicaragua is the finest Camacho released in years. Composed of a four-country blend, the cigar came out last summer and joins the extensive, color-coded Camacho portfolio.
Since Davidoff acquired Camacho from the Eiroa family in 2008, the cigars have been repackaged with bold fonts and bright colors. The robusto starts off leathery with zesty bursts of red and white pepper underscored by a chocolate-and-vanilla sweetness. It’s not as Nicaraguan as the name suggests, but it’s one of the best cigars we smoked all year.
