Tasting Note
A father can feel no greater pride than when he is paid tribute by his son and when he watches that son step into his shoes and perform admirably upon the world stage. When Jaime Garcia set out to blend a smoke for his father, José "Pepin" Garcia, he tried to work in secret, but someone tipped off his old man, a growing legend in the cigar world. Pepin smoked the cigars, deemed them delicious, and was moved when Jaime revealed his intended brand name: My Father. Last year the My Father No. 1 ranked No. 3 on our Top 25 list. This year's appearance of the My Father No. 2 cements the delicious cigar brand as a consistent great. The cigar is rich and woody, with notes of toast, tea and nuts. We expect the Garcias to impress cigar smokers with their wares for many more years to come.

Issue: Cigar Aficionado: Oct 01, 2016 | Score: 92

A beautifully rolled cigar crafted with a belicoso tip and oily wrapper. Sweet tea and cedar notes intensify to spicy, piquant cinnamon on top of sweet marzipan and roasted coffee.

Issue: Cigar Aficionado: Apr 01, 2012 | Score: 89

A well-rolled cigar with a blunted belicoso tip. Though chalky at first, it takes on a strong white pepper character that evolves to a nougat sweetness on the finish.
