Though dark, attractive and gleaming with oil, this cigar is muddled and unfocused, with scattered notes of salt and leather turning both sweet and bitter on every other puff. The aftertaste is sour.

Reddish and oily with a lush draw but uneven burn. Its tangy, earthiness carries a hint of citrus and vanilla but the finish tastes heavily charred.

Issue: Cigar Insider: Apr 01, 1999 | Score: 87

A well-made cigar with an ugly cap. It's earthy, rich and creamy, with a short, dry finish.

Excellent flavors of cocoa beans and roasted hazelnuts. This is a medium to full bodied cigar with a solid leathery finish. Well-made.

Issue: Cigar Insider: Jun 01, 1996 | Score: 90

This beautifully made, oily cigar is rich and earthy. It has a solid spicy core and a sweet finish. Should improve with age.
