Davidoff reinvented the Zino brand by partnering with the Arnell Group to create Zino Platinum. The first release, the Crown Series, was of high quality, but with eye-popping prices of up to nearly $40 a cigar. The introduction of the lower-priced Scepter Series brought the prices down into the teens. The best of the line is the Chubby Tubos, a tubed perfecto measuring just under five inches with a 54 ring gauge at its fattest point. It’s a rewarding smoke, with notes of coffee, cocoa and nuts, and a pleasant chewy flavor.
