La Gloria Cubana Serie R Maduro Goes Gargantuan With The No. 8

The La Gloria Cubana Serie R Maduro brand is about to get its biggest cigar yet. Already known for large, thick sizes, the series is pushing the envelope even further with the No. 8., a giant cigar that measures 7 inches by 70 ring gauge. It’s the largest cigar in the line and is set to start shipping on the first of February.
Like the rest of the La Gloria Cubana Serie R Maduro line, the new No. 8 is made in the Dominican Republic at El Credito, a rolling gallery within the General Cigar Dominicana factory dedicated solely to producing La Gloria Cubana cigars. This massive assemblage of tobacco is composed of a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
The hefty smokes will come in slide-lid boxes of 15 with a suggested retail price of $12.29 per cigar. They are intended to be full bodied in strength and are distributed by Forged Cigar Co., a subsidiary of parent company Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
