Cigars For Warriors Begins Fundraiser for U.S. Troops Tomorrow

Since 2012, hundreds of thousands of cigars have been donated to U.S. troops through Operation: Cigars for Warriors–along with lighters, cutters, magazines and coffee. However, because of shop closures and canceled events due to Covid-19, the charity has seen a dramatic drop in donations. That’s why Cigars For Warriors is beginning a fundraising drive tomorrow on Veteran’s Day that’s running until the first of December, a relatively new holiday called Giving Tuesday.
Storm Boen, the charity’s chairman and CEO, remarked: “On behalf of Operation: Cigars for Warriors, I encourage each and every one of you to spread the word about our organization and mission as we approach Giving Tuesday. In order to continue fulfilling our commitment to serving deployed men and women around the world, we will need a lot of support.”
People can help with direct donations through their website or by dropping goods off at one of their many donation centers throughout the country. The charity also encourages supporters to select Operation: Cigars for Warriors as their charity on Amazon Smile and share information about the fundraiser with their networks.
Operation: Cigars For Warriors is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, relying entirely on raffle ticket sales, cigar donations, generous cash donations and grants to operate. It is one of two charities that donates cigars to military servicemen and women and has even been regulated by the FDA.
