La Aurora S.A.
In 1903, Eduardo León Jimenes opened a cigar factory in the Dominican Republic and began making La Aurora cigars. Today, La Aurora is still making cigars under the watchful eye of Guillermo León, the grandson of Eduardo. La Aurora, the oldest cigarmaker in a country brimming with cigarmakers, still honors its past by making the distinctive perfecto known as Preferidos, a nod to the original shapes the company made. For the United States market, all La Aurora brands are distributed by Miami Cigar & Co.
