Cigar Brand Highlight

Partagas (Non-Cuban)
DISTRIBUTOR: General Cigar Co.
Following the Cuban Revolution, legendary cigarmaker Ramón Cifuentes Toriello opted to emigrate to the United States rather than run the nation's cigar industry. In 1974, the Cifuentes family made a deal with the General Cigar Co. to manufacture Partagas cigars in Jamaica, and the first non-Cuban Partagas cigars hit the market in 1977. General later shifted production to its factory in the Dominican Republic, where they're made with Dominican and Mexican filler tobaccos, Mexican binders, and wrappers grown in Cameroon in west Africa. Non-Cuban Partagas cigars among the best-selling premium cigars in the United States today, and General has added many lines to the storied brand.
