General Cigar Co., maker of Partagas cigars for the U.S. market, has created the Partagas Man of Distinction Contest, where those who savor premium cigars as well as fine wines can enjoy a taste of the California wine country good life.
The winner of the contest, plus three guests, will be treated to four days and three nights in Napa Valley from October 21 to October 24, right in the middle of the Napa Valley harvest. The winners will tour five wineries (Hewitt, Provenance, Sterling, Acacia and Beaulieu), harvest grapes, dine in style at La Toque and Martini House and enjoy a catered event at Baker Street Downtown cigar shop.
To throw your hat in the cigar ring, aficionados have to submit a brief essay expressing their desire to win. Details can be found on specially-marked Partagas four-packs of cigars (containing Partagas Naturales, Partagas Black Label Robusto, Partagas Spanish Rosado San Agustin and Partagas Limited Reserve Decadas No. II cigars), or by visiting partagasman.com. The contest ends September 26, and the winner will be selected on or before October 6.
General has sold Partagas cigars in the United States since 1978. They are rolled at the General Cigar Dominicana factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
