Cigar Aficionado’s 17th annual Big Smoke Las Vegas Weekend is less than two months away, and while the Saturday and Sunday seminars have already sold out, tickets for the Big Smoke Evening sessions are still available, and the list of cigars that will be passed out each night continues to grow.
For those who have never attended a Big Smoke in Las Vegas, the Friday and Saturday evening parties offer the chance for partygoers to not only meet some of the cigar industry’s most notable producers, but to also personally get handed cigars by them. Smoking, of course, is allowed, and encouraged.
This year’s cigar haul will consist of more than 35 brands. The list includes some new releases for 2012, such as Foundry, a brand from the General Cigar Co. that incorporates elements of the Steampunk genre into its packaging and cigar blend. General Cigar will also be passing out its new C.A.O. Concert, a cigar that highlights the brand’s musical Tennessee roots.
Alec Bradley will offering attendees its new Nica Puro, the first all-Nicaraguan cigar that the company has rolled. Gurkha will be handing out samples of its new Ghost, and Altadis’ VegaFina Fortaleza 2, a more full-bodied version of the original, will be available.
The current list of cigars to be passed out include: Aging Room, Alec Bradley, Arturo Fuente, Ashton, Camacho-Room 101, C.A.O. Concert, Casa Fernandez, Casa Magna, Cusano, Diamond Crown, Dona Flor, Don Pepin, Dunhill Aged, E.P. Carrillo, Estilo Cubano, Foundry, Gurkha, Hoyo de Monterrey Reposado en Cedros, Joya de Nicaragua, La Aroma de Cuba, La Flor Dominicana, La Gloria Cubana Serie R, La Palina, Macanudo Crü Royale, Montecristo Las Vegas, Oliva, Partagás 1845, Pinolero, Pura Sangre, Rocky Patel, San Lotano, Studio Tobac, Tatuaje, Te-Amo Revolution, VegaFina Fortaleza 2 and Zino Platinum.
