Big Smoke Las Vegas Tickets On Sale Now

Cigar lovers, mark your calendars. The Big Smoke is heading to Las Vegas for the 22nd annual weekend of cigar parties, tastings and camaraderie—and tickets are on sale now.

Set to take place at The Mirage Las Vegas Hotel and Casino from November 17 to 19, Cigar Aficionado's Big Smoke hosts the biggest names in cigars, who come to Sin City to meet, greet and educate cigar lovers from around the world. On Friday and Saturday night, guests at the Big Smoke evening events will receive more than 25 premium cigars straight from the hands of those who craft them. Libations will be on hand for thirsty attendees to pair with their smokes while they peruse the showroom floor and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow lovers of the leaf.

At the Big Smoke Saturday seminars, participants will enjoy cigars while attending a series of educational discussions on the craft of cigar making. A tasting of Cigar Aficionado's top 3 legal cigars of 2016 will take place alongside presentations from Litto Gomez of La Flor Dominicana, maker of the Andalusian Bull (the 2016 Cigar of the Year); Rocky Patel of Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, maker of the Rocky Patel Sun Grown (#2 Cigar of 2016); and Ernesto Perez-Carrillo of EPC Cigar Co, maker of EP Carrillo Selección Oscuro (#4 Cigar of 2016).

A panel of Cigar Aficionado editors will unveil their secrets for identifying counterfeit Cuban cigars. Pete Johnson of Tatuaje, Bill Paley of La Palina and Paul Palmer of Casa Fernandez will speak on the magic of making cigars in Miami. And to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Cigar Aficionado magazine, a special seminar will address the changes in the cigar industry over the past quarter century. The panel will include cigar veterans like John Oliva Jr. (Oliva Tobacco Co.), Jorge Padrón (Padrón Cigars Inc.) and Craig Cass (Tinder Box of the Carolinas).

The Saturday seminars conclude with lunch and cigars hosted by Drew Estate, followed by a Q&A session.

Sunday's seminars, which place more emphasis on the lifestyle associated with cigars, begins with a cigar-lovers breakfast with Chef Nicole Brisson of CarneVino, segues to a "Roll Your Own Montecristo" seminar, where experts from Altadis USA will guide guests through the cigar making process, and culminate with a cigar and spirits pairing seminar with Cigar Aficionado's spirits guru Jack Bettridge.

Ticket plans, which include VIP access to evening events, individual evening passes and full weekend packages, are on sale now.
