There’s a new limited-edition Avo cigar on the market, and it’s the first release in what Davidoff calls the Avo 30 Years Collection, a cigar series that celebrates the history of the Avo brand and its creator, the late musician Avo Uvezian.
The new cigar is also part of a long running Improvisation Series, a collection of Avo cigars, each a modified version of an existing Avo blend.
Improvisation 30 Years is a modified version of the Avo Classic blend, draped in an Ecuadoran wrapper with binder and filler tobacco from the Dominican Republic. It measures 7 1/2 inches by 50 ring gauge, the same size as the Avo Classic No. 3. The cigar ships in 25-count boxes and retails for $16. Only 2,400 boxes have been produced. Avo Improvisation 30 years started shipping last month and is in stores now.
This is the sixth installment in the Avo Improvisation Series, after last year’s Avo Improvisation LE17.
Davidoff has announced that more cigars in the Avo 30 Years Collection will be launching throughout the year, including limited-edition versions of discontinued Avo brands such as Avo Maduro, Avo Signature, Avo 22 and Avo LE05. In addition, the company plans to launch collector’s edition vitolas of Avo Syncro Nicaragua, Avo Syncro Nicaragua Fogata and Avo Syncro South America Ritmo.
