Christian Eiroa of CLE Cigars and the Wynwood Cigar Factory in Miami, announced that his Wynwood business partner, Robert Caldwell, has left the operation.

"When Robert Caldwell announced that he was leaving Wynwood, we respected and accepted his request," Eiroa told Cigar Aficionado. "We are all going to miss him... but Mr. Caldwell's departure will not have a significant impact on the operations at the factory in Miami. We will keep producing the three core cigar brands from the Wynwood Factory Fresh line: Coneja, Rout and Granada. Nothing has changed as far as our manufacturing practices as I have always been in charge of production and quality control in Miami. We all believe firmly in this factory and what it represents to all of us."

The Wynwood Cigar Factory opened last year in Miami's artsy district of the same name. Its unorthodox décor of modern art and colorful murals, as well as its in-house art studio, make this factory quite unique in the industry of premium cigars.

"I noticed their "contact" info on the website isn't working properly either. Im really sad, these factory fresh were my absolute favorite corona-sized cigar. I sincerely hope all the flap here dies down, and Wynwood can get back to work...like Mr. Eiroa says, because I will truly miss these" —October 6, 2013 01:40 AM

"Interesting. Looks like it IS for lease/sale. Shock! Care to comment Mr Eiroa? Or will you be there in December when I come for a visit? Or are you still standing by your BS? http://www.berkshirehathawayhs.com/commercial-for-sale/FL/Miami/33127/101-Nw-24-St-102405052" —October 5, 2013 23:11 PM
"Does this have anything to do with the large turnover rate?" —October 5, 2013 14:38 PM
"This news is unfortunate. I've always enjoyed those cigars but now they seem to taste different. I hope whatever is going on is resolved soon and everything gets back to normal. Mr. Caldwell was a great asset to the industry. Best of Luck to both parties." —October 3, 2013 14:43 PM

"Float Charlie, you're gonna need another rag to wipe that egg off your face again, boy." —October 2, 2013 12:44 PM
"Float Dubb is Charlie who owns the Halfwheel blog? Why is he posting under an assumed name? Strange. I think he needs to get his facts straight if he is going to post information. I don't think this bodes well for his blog nor respectable reporting. " —October 1, 2013 17:20 PM

"Sure thing, Christian. I'll be in Miami in December so I'll stop by then. " —October 1, 2013 12:20 PM
"Dear Mr. Dub, I understand there are rumors that the Wynwood Factory is closed but it is not. We are here every day so feel free to come visit and smoke a cigar with us. Best regards, Christian Eiroa" —September 30, 2013 13:24 PM
"Except that the Wynwood factory is closed now..." —September 27, 2013 09:33 AM
