The 2021 Top 25 Reveal Schedule

After smoking hundreds of cigars through our blind tasting process, Cigar Aficionado has narrowed it down to the Top 25 cigars of 2021. Click here to follow along with the Top 25 Cigars of 2021.

The veteran tasting panel smokes cigars from a vast assortment of brands in different sizes, shapes and strengths from all over the world throughout the year. Then a list of top-scoring cigars are created for a test of champions, to see which cigars are the best of the best, worthy of inclusion in the Top 25. In order to keep the tasting completely objective, the band (or bands) of each cigar are removed by the tasting coordinator and replaced with a code before being given to the panel for assessment. Twenty-five of these cigars stood out from the rest as this year’s best.

The prestigious list will be revealed during the second week of January. Which cigars will make the cut, and which cigar will be crowned the king? Find out soon.

The reveal schedule for the Top 25 list is as follows:

Monday, January 10: Cigars 10, 9 and 8
Tuesday, January 11: Cigars 7, 6 and 5
Wednesday, January 12: Cigars 4, 3 and 2
Thursday, January 13: The 2021 Cigar of the Year
Friday, January 14: Cigars 11 through 25

Join us every day at 10 am to see each stage of the reveal, complete with video reviews from executive editor David Savona and managing editor Gregory Mottola.
