Tatuaje Goes International

Tatuaje Goes International

Havana Cellars, the owner of the hugely popular boutique Tatuaje brand, announced on January 21 that the company's international sales would be handled by J. Garcia International, a new entity created by Jaime Garcia, the son of the father-son-team that rolls Tatuaje, Don Pepin, San Cristobal and other highly regarded cigars.

"Jaime Garcia and Pete Johnson believe that after several years of relationship between the two families, that this will be a great arrangement for all of their future international business," said Garcia in a statement.

"I had no distribution outside the U.S. before this," said Johnson in an email to Cigar Insider. "After a long talk with Jaime [last] week, we decided to join forces and distribute the product together through his new international division... . I have plans to design new products just for international markets."
