Tampa Bay Celebrates Super Bowl LV Win With Cigars

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought home the Lombardi Trophy last night to Cigar City as Tom Brady further cemented his legacy with a seventh Super Bowl win. To celebrate, the team sparked up some well-deserved victory cigars in typical Tampa Bay fashion. And of course, popped some Champagne to go with it.
Amongst the cigars at the victory party were Tampa’s own Diamond Crown No. 1s from J.C. Newman Cigar Co. Defensive end William Ghoulston was seen smoking a Davidoff Tampa Exclusive Edition 2021 sent by the the Davidoff store in Tampa, which is owned and operated by Corona Cigar Co.
Before the game, CBS Sports brought viewers inside Tampa Bay’s long history of cigars as Eric Newman of J.C. Newman taught reporter Sherree Buruss how to roll a cigar by hand. The network even got inside the historic El Reloj factory with Bills legend Doug Flutie and supported other cigar events with David Ortiz and Marshall Faulk.
“This is big for Tampa,“ says Carlos Fuente Jr., the head of Arturo Fuente cigars, who brought this special-edition Buccaneers Fuente Fuente OpusX box out for the win.
There’s only one way to properly celebrate a triumphant day on the gridiron and that’s with cigars. For years, athletes have been lighting up to cap off seasons of greatness, the cigar being a trophy in and of itself. Here are some more examples of athletes celebrating with good smokes.
