TAA Exclusives: The Complete List
The Tobacconists’ Association of America is meeting in Los Cabos, Mexico this week, and this morning the organization presented a lineup of 13 TAA exclusive cigars for 2022. This is a series of smokes to be sold only via retail members of the organization, and they will be heading to cigar stores throughout the year.
Here is the lineup of what’s coming, arranged alphabetically by company:

Limited to 500 boxes, shipping date to be determined. It’s made by Christian Eiroa with tobacco from his family farms.
Crowned Heads—The Lost Angel 2022

Made from a blend of Ecuador wrapper, Mexican binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican filler, this cigar is rolled by Tabacalera Pichardo in Nicaragua. Limited to 1,000 boxes, shipping by June.

Diesel Tempest TAA

Shipping in August, and limited to 1,000 boxes. This cigar comes with a booklet, and is part one of a three-part series. Like all Diesels, the TAA Tempest is made by A.J. Fernandez for Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
EP Carrillo TAA 2022

Limited to 750 boxes, these cigars are shipping in June and consist of an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco.
Ferio Tego Timeless TAA 2022

This is a Nicaraguan puro, available in only one size, made by the Plasencia family in Nicaragua. The cigars are expected to ship “later this spring,” according to Ferio Tego’s Michael Herklots.

Villiger TAA Exclusive 2022

Made in Nicaragua at La Zona cigars, from a blend of Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler. Only 500 boxes will be produced. Villiger’s Rene Castañeda says the company expects to begin shipping by April 15.
