Ron Jaworski and Mike Ditka Throwing Super Bowl Cigar Party For Charity

Football greats—and cigar aficionados—Ron Jaworski and Mike Ditka are hosting the 12th Annual Ditka & Jaws Cigars With The Stars, a cigar-friendly event that raises money for charity. Jaworski, the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback who is known as Jaws, played 17 seasons in the NFL. Ditka, a member of the NFL Hall of Fame, won Super Bowls as a player and as a coach.
The event will take place on February 10 at The Yard in Los Angeles.
“Every year Coach and I come together to host what has become known as the official start of Super Bowl week, but more importantly we bring thousands of the most influential, most respected people, players in the sports industry together and spotlight the great work of both charities, Jaws Youth Playbook, and Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund,” said Jaworski. “Without the support of my friends, family, the community, and the amazing sponsors, giving back through events of this magnitude would not be possible.”
The event raises money for Jaws Youth Playbook, which seeks to improve the overall health and wellness of at-risk youth, particularly those in the Greater Philadelphia region. The Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund helps retired NFL players in need with medical, housing and financial assistance.
Cigars from Cohiba, Epic, Escobar, J.C. Newman, Oliva, Nat Cicco, Revenant and Rocky Patel will be on hand, along with appetizers, an open bar, music and an auction of memorabilia. Sponsors of the event include Diageo, Southern Recipe Small Batch, Zacapa, Crown Royal, Ketel One Vodka, Johnnie Walker, Molson Coors, and Omni Hotel & Resorts Los Angeles.
Tickets are $500, and can be purchased here.
