Romeo Y Julieta 1875 Nicaragua Coming In July

The core Romeo y Julieta 1875 brand by Altadis U.S.A. is getting a Nicaraguan version next month, and it’s made by Plasencia Cigars in Nicaragua.
Called Romeo y Julieta 1875 Nicaragua, the brand is made with only Nicaraguan tobacco and slated for four sizes: Bully, 5 inches by 50 ring gauge; Toro, 6 by 50; Churchill, 7 by 52; and Magnum, 6 by 60. The cigars will come in 25-count boxes and retail from $6.80 to $7.95.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Altadis U.S.A. turns to the Plasencias for a modern take on one of its classic brands. The Espada by Montecristo, Espada by Montecristo Estoque and Romeo 505 Nicaragua are all made by Plasencia cigars for Altadis.
This will also mark the second new Romeo y Julieta release this year from Altadis, as it debuted the Romeo San Andrés by Romeo y Julieta in March, which is made by A.J. Fernandez in Nicaragua.
