Rocky Patel Updates Fifteenth Anniversary Packaging

It’s been eight years since Rocky Patel Fifteenth Anniversary first hit store shelves—now the cigar’s packaging is getting a fresh coat of paint. Fifteenth Anniversary will be on display at the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers trade show next month with a brighter cigar band and less-bulky box (the original box was designed with a heavy metal plate on the lid).
“For years, the Fifteenth Anniversary has succeeded because of its character, strength and complexity,” said Mark Weissenberger, vice president of marketing for Rocky Patel Premium Cigars. “It was always the dull bands and the overly heavy metal box plates that kept this brand lost on retail shelves. So it was time for a facelift. A glowing facelift.”
The company says that boxes of Fifteenth Anniversary now boast a sleek, all-black exterior with silver embossing. Without the metal plate on the lid, the boxes are lighter, too. The interior lid has been redesigned with an eye-catching silver background and the cigar bands of Fifteenth Anniversary have also been modified. The brand name and Rocky Patel logo on the cigar band is now a shinier hue of silver.
The blend of Rocky Patel Fifteenth anniversary has not been altered and the cigars still ship in 20-count boxes (save for the Toro Tubo vitola, which still ships in boxes of 10). The new designed boxes of Fifteenth Anniversary are expected to ship to retailers this summer, after the IPCPR trade show.
