It’s a little late to the market, but the Cuban Quai d’Orsay Senadores Edición Limitada for 2019 is available at retail stores in France—and we rated it in Cigar Insider. Marking the first time a Quai d’Orsay has ever been released as an Edición Limitada, the Senadores had its premier party in September on a river cruise along France’s famed Seine waterway, giving cigar fans a preview of this 6 1/8 inch by 48 ring gauge smoke.
From the time it was introduced in the 1970s, Quai d’Orsay was little more than a regional Cuban brand made almost exclusively for France, but 2017 proved to be one of the most pivotal years in Quai d’Orsay’s history. Thinner sizes were deleted, thicker sizes were introduced, the bands were redesigned and, most importantly, Habanos S.A. declared it a global product.
In Parisian cigars stores like Á La Civette, the Quai d’Orsay Senadores retail for 19.80 euros (about $22) each. There is no official word from Habanos as to when these Edición Limitadas will reach the rest of the world.
