PDR To Distribute El Primer Mundo

For the last 10 years, Dominican cigarmaker PDR Cigars has been making the El Primer Mundo brand for Sean Williams. Now, PDR will be distributing the cigars as well and retailers can expect them later this month.
El Primer Mundo is a trio of blends owned by Williams, who also serves as brand ambassador for the non-Cuban Cohiba brand. For quite some time, the cigars have been sporadically produced and only available online. Later this month, they will be shipping to brick-and-mortar retailers.
There are three lines of El Primer Mundo, all distinguished by their wrappers and the color of their packaging:
- Blue Label, which is billed as the mildest and rolled with an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper
- Black Label, made with an Ecuador Habano cover leaf and medium in strength
- Red Label, a medium-to full-bodied cigar draped in a Mexican San Andrés cover leaf
All three are made with a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobacco from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
All the El Primer Mundo lines are available in the same three sizes: Robusto, 5 inches by 50 ($13.15); Toro, 6 by 52 ($13.99); and Sesenta, 6 by 60 ($14.83). The cigars come in boxes of 20.
