Michael Giordano, founder and CEO of Quality Importers Trading Co., has taken over as president of the cigar accessory company, replacing Michael Cellucci, who has been with the company for two years.
Cellucci, who spent 16 years at Drew Estate before joining Quality Importers, said in a press release that he will focus on helping other tobacco-related companies through his consultant business, The Fairfax Group LLC.
Quality Importers, which is based in Weston, Florida, was founded in 2000 by Giordano. Over the years it has built quite a library of cigar brands via acquisition. In 2011 it purchased Stinky Ashtrays, and in 2015 it acquired the Palió cigar cutter brand. The following year, Quality Importers acquired Orleans Group, a humidor and cigar accessories company, and in January 2018 it bought Xikar, the Kansas City, Missouri, company known for its distinctive, teardrop-shaped cigar cutters as well as a line of cigar lighters and other accessories.
