My Favorite Cigar

Nick Jonas • Pop Star
La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial No. 1
Asking Nick Jonas which cigars he likes to smoke makes for a long answer. Like many contemporary cigar lovers his tastes are broad: Cohibas from Cuba, La Aromas and L’Ateliers from Nicaragua, Fuentes from the Dominican Republic, Camacho Corojos from Honduras. For him, cigars are a preferred way to relax.
“Sit down, let the world slow down a little bit,” he says, “and enjoy a delicious cigar.”
The world has seldom been slow for 29-year-old Jonas, who grew up in the public eye. When he was only 11, an agent heard him sing at church in his hometown of Wykoff, New Jersey, and signed him. In 2005, he and his brothers formed the Jonas Brothers and sold millions of albums. Later, he branched off on his own and tried his hand at acting before reuniting with his siblings on a 2019 reunion that saw the group notch a No. 1 hit.
Jonas started smoking cigars when he 18, jumping in with a bold choice: an Ashton VSG from the Dominican Republic. “A pretty aggressive first smoke,” he says. This past January, he had an occasion meant to be celebrated with cigars, the birth of his baby girl.
