Michael Jordan—arguably the best man to ever play basketball and one of the most popular athletes the world has ever seen—is wowing audiences once again. The video of his interview with Cigar Aficionado editor and publisher Marvin R. Shanken has already received 1 million views, only nine days after being posted on YouTube.
The video shows Jordan and Shanken having a wide-ranging discussion about life, business, golf, basketball, fine wine and—of course—cigars. The men smoke two cigars in the video, both of them vintage Cubans. They begin by lighting up 1993 Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas, then later in the video move to much smaller (and even older) H. Upmann Tivolis, pre-Castro cigars rolled in Havana in the 1950s.
The video was shot in 2017 at The Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Florida, and served as the setting for the cover story on Jordan in Cigar Aficionado’s 25th anniversary edition, which was published in November, 2017.
