“I got asked about this blend quite a lot from events to social media about when its return would happen, and finally was able to accommodate the request from our customers,” brand owner Kyle Gellis told Cigar Aficionado.
Unico Especial is a 5 inch by 48 ring gauge belicoso with a slightly different blend than the regular-production La Colmena (which comes in a single size called Amado No. 44). It’s made with an Ecuadoran wrapper and binder leaf over Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos.
Priced at $17 per cigar, Unico Especial comes in 10-count tin containers. Only 950 tins will be released. The cigars are rolled at the El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami.
