Limited-Edition La Auroras Return for Second Run
La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2018 will launch in a Toro format and comes in 15-count boxes. Only 500 boxes will be released.

Two limited-edition La Aurora cigars from the past are coming back to market, but this time, both brands are made only with 12-year-old vintage tobaccos. Called La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2018 and La Aurora 107 Cosecha 2007, the company says both smokes are rolled only with tobaccos that were grown in the year 2007. The cigars will be on display at the IPCPR trade show later this month.

La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2018 is rolled with an Ecuadoran wrapper and binder and contains filler leaf from Colombia, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The cigar will launch in a Toro format measuring 6 inches by 54 ring gauge ($22) and comes in 15-count boxes. Only 500 boxes will be released. The cigar is expected to hit retail in September.

La Aurora 107 Cosecha 2007

La Aurora 107 Cosecha 2007 is made with an Ecuadoran cover leaf, Brazilian binder and filler tobacco from Nicaragua, Brazil and the Dominican Republic. It’s made in three sizes: Robusto, at 5 by 54 ($10); Corona Gorda, 6 by 47 ($11); and Churchill, 7 by 50 ($12). The cigars will ship in 10-count boxes and only 1,000 boxes of each size will be released. Like the Hors d’Age 2018, Cosecha 2007 is slated for release in September.

The first La Aurora 107 “Cosecha” cigar was released in 2016—called Cosecha 2006. The original Hor’s d’Age, named La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2017, launched last year.

Both Cosecha 2007 and Preferidos Hors d’Age 2018 are handmade at the La Aurora S.A. factory in the Dominican Republic.
