Lancero-Sized Diesel to be TAA Exclusive

This summer, retail members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America will be receiving the Diesel Disciple, a long, thin smoke that marks the first time a Diesel cigar has ever been released as a TAA exclusive.
Made by A.J. Fernandez in Nicaragua for Scandinavian Tobacco Group, the Diesel Disciple measures 7 inches by 38 ring gauge and will have a suggested retail price of $8.99 per cigar. It’s rolled with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Ecuador Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan Habano filler grown in Estelí.
Diesel Disciple comes in 10-count boxes and is a collaboration between A.J. Fernandez and Justin Andrews, senior brand manager for STG.
“Diesel Disciple is the first lancero that A.J. and I worked on together and it also marks the first exclusive offering for Diesel,” Andrews said in a press release.
Disciple is expected to reach retailers in July through The Forged Cigar Company, a new subsidiary of STG formed to distribute some of its premium cigar lines in the United States.
