La Aurora TAA Exclusivo Hitting Stores in April

The 52nd Tobacconists Association of America conference is scheduled to take place in a few short weeks, but already La Aurora is ready to go with its first-ever exclusive cigar for the retail organization.
La Aurora TAA Exclusivo measures 6 inches long by 50 ring gauge, and will carry a suggested retail price of $12. The blend is a Dominican binder from the Cibao Valley, with a filler mix of Dominican and Pennsylvania broadleaf tobaccos. The wrapper according to La Aurora is grown in Ecuador, from a variety known as HVA, short for Havana Vuelta Arriba.
The cigar will come packed in 10-count boxes, with only 500 boxes expected to be produced. It’s expected to begin shipping in April.
The TAA consists of 77 retailers and accounts for nearly 240 stores across the United States. Each year, some of the biggest brands in the handmade cigar industry produce special cigars that are only sold through the retail shops of the organization’s members. Last year a dozen new cigars were created for TAA, and when the company celebrated 50 years in 2018, 21 cigars were commissioned.
