La Aurora Announce 107 Nicaragua for U.S. Market

Dominican-based La Aurora S.A. is going Nicaraguan with their first-ever Nicaraguan puro, and it will be hitting the U.S. market next month.
Blended by Manuel Inoa, La Aurora’s master blender, the cigars will feature a Nicaragua Habano wrapper, binder from the Jalapa Valley and a mix of filler tobaccos from Condega and Estelí.
An offshoot of the company’s 107 line, La Aurora Nicaragua 107 is available to retailers for preorder now and all orders are expected to start shipping the week of October 7.
“We like the symmetry of releasing 107 on ‘10/7,’ ” Nate McIntyre, marketing coordinator and regional sales manager of Miami Cigar and Co., told Cigar Aficionado. As with all other La Aurora cigars, Miami Cigar and Co. will handle the U.S. distribution. The line was introduced earlier in the year to the Dominican and European markets with additional sizes.
There will be three sizes available to the U.S. market: Robusto, measuring 5 inches by 50 ring gauge; Toro, 5 3/4 by 54; and Gran Toro, 6 by 58. La Aurora 107 Nicaragua will ship in boxes of 20, and prices will range from $8.50 to $10 per cigar.
To launch the line, La Aurora will be hosting an exclusive private Zoom event with retailers on October 7 at 2 p.m. EST where retailers can smoke and interact with members of the La Aurora sales team and Manuel Inoa to discuss the cigars.
