J.C. Newman Opening Rolling School At El Reloj Factory in Tampa

Did you ever want to learn how to make a cigar? If you’re the hands-on, curious type—or an experience seeker in general—J.C. Newman Cigar Co. can help you take your hobby to the next level. Starting July 22, the company is offering rolling classes every Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at its Tampa headquarters.
The fee is $50, which includes two hours of instruction, a look at the cigar museum and, of course, whatever cigars you roll by hand. A 75-minute guided tour of the entire facility is offered separately if you want to continue your tobacco education. Classes take place on the top floor of the historic brick building, home of the El Reloj cigar factory where cigars such as The American are produced.
It's a fun way to more closely connect with the smoky pastime and will undoubtedly give you a new appreciation for the skill and craft that goes into rolling a handmade cigar. You may uncover a hidden a talent, but fair warning: it’s not as easy as it looks.
