Herrera Esteli Miami Heading Nationwide
Once only available in select markets, Drew Estate’s Herrera Esteli Miami is now shipping to cigar stores nationwide. The brand debuted in 2016 as a limited-edition offshoot of the original Herrera Esteli and was available in only one size, a 5 3/4 inches by 48 ring gauge corona gorda.
At the 2018 International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers trade show, Drew Estate repackaged and relaunched Herrera Esteli Miami as a regular-production brand with the same blend as the original—Ecuadoran wrapper and binder leaf with filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
The cigar line was expanded to five sizes: Toro Especial, at 6 inches by 52 ring gauge; Robusto Grande, at 5 by 50; Piramide Fino; 6 1/2 by 54; Lonsdale Deluxe; 6 1/2 by 44; and Short Corona Gorda, at 5 3/4 by 48. The cigars are priced $9.80 to $12.75.
Unlike the original Herrera Esteli line, which is made in Nicaragua at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate, Herrera Esteli Miami is made in the United States at the small El Titan de Bronze factory in Miami.
Both the original Herrera Esteli and the Esteli Miami were created by Drew Estate master blender Willy Herrera.
