Griffin's Humidors

Cigar lovers are infamously obsessed with toys. Ranging from the functional to the whimsical to the esoteric, there's no shortage of gadgets and gizmos to collect, from lighters with all sorts of finishes to cutters that punch holes, gouge wedges or slice with surgical precision. But the ultimate toy for any true cigar fanatic is a new humidor, an attractive, functional box that connoisseurs will spend years refilling, maintaining and admiring.

Whether you're looking to expand your cigar collection or are just beginning your love affair with tobacco, you'll need a sturdy, efficient humidor to ensure that your prized smokes are always stored in pristine condition. But if you're like most men, you don't just want a wooden box -- you want a humidor that's as much a work of art as it is a storage space.

The new Griffin's humidors serve this dual purpose admirably -- each of the humidors comes in seven different designs. There are six wood finishes (classic wood to more modern, colorful options in either red, yellow or blue) and a carbon fiber style. The humidors are all available in three sizes, ideal for storing up to 50, 75 or 120 cigars. (A 75-cigar model is pictured.) The humidors use a self-regulating humidification system, and each box has trusty hinges that help the humidor achieve an airtight seal. The largest two sizes come with a lock, and each humidor makes for a stately conversation piece. Handcrafted in France, these humidors will keep your cigars fresh and supple until you yourself are no longer fresh and supple.

The humidors have suggested retail prices ranging from $620 for the 50-cigar model in red, blue or yellow to $1,360 for the 120-cigar model with a Macassar/Vavona marquetry. They are available at authorized Davidoff retailers nationwide.
