General Cigar Co. provided the wrapper, and Espinosa Cigars provided the rest of the tobacco. With that arrangement, Warzone was born, a collaboration between the corporate giant and boutique producer. The newest size, Rabito, marks the third and final release of Warzone, a brand that debuted in 2019.
Measuring 6 inches long by 46 ring gauge, the Warzone Rabito is composed of the same blend as the previous sizes: Cameroon wrapper, Honduran binder and filler tobacco from Nicaragua and Colombia. While General has provided the wrapper (and is handling distribution), the Rabito was made in Nicaragua at Espinosa’s La Zona factory. (The first Warzone sizes were Toro and Robusto, which came out in 2019; in 2010 the brand came out with a Churchill.)
Rabito has a suggested retail price of $9.19 per cigar and comes in boxes of 20. Only 1,500 boxes were produced. Rabitos began shipping to retailers in late August.
