Cigarmaker E.P. Carrillo has kicked off a contest via social media and it will be recurring over the next four weeks, giving retailers and consumers the chance to win prizes, including a massive grand prize in November. All they have to do is to post a photo or video of an Inch Nicaragua cigar onto their Instagram feed.
Released earlier this year, Inch Nicaragua is the first line from Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s popular Inch brand to consist entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco. It’s also the first Inch line that isn’t made at the Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic—the cigars are rolled in Nicaragua by the Plasencias, who also grew the tobaccos in the blend.
Every week there will be two winners chosen, a consumer and a retailer. Entrants are eligible for one weekly prize. However, each weekly post will increase chances to win the grand prize. Included in the weekly merch kit prize are two shirts, a hat and a tumbler. The winning retailer will win a merch kit for every single one of their employees.
The grand prize is an all-expense paid trip to Miami to spend the day with Perez-Carrillo and his daughter Lissette. There, winners can try special, unreleased blends from their private collection. Flight, hotel and transportation are included.
