Cuban Ramon Allones Receives New Size

It’s been quite some time since Ramon Allones has received an addition to its standard, regular-production range, but the new Allones No. 3 is coming to Switzerland this month, and it’s a fairly thick format. At 5 1/2 inches by 52 ring gauge, the Allones No. 3 is referred to as Noblezas in Cuban cigar factories and will be available in Switzerland starting April 18.
Slightly larger than a typical robusto, Allones No. 3 shares the same dimensions with Partagás Series No. 1, an Edición Limitada from 2017. It comes in dress boxes of 10 and is set to retail for 175 Swiss francs per box (about $193) or 17.50 Swiss francs per cigar (a little more than $19).
Once an extensive brand with many sizes, Ramon Allones has been shrinking over the last two decades, as Habanos S.A. has cut the line to a mere three sizes—Gigantes, Small Club Coronas and Specially Selected. The Allones Superiores (which came out more than 10 years ago) is a La Casa del Habano exclusive that is still in production, though not technically part of the core, standard line. Any new Ramon Allones cigars released today are limited editions such as Edición Limitadas, Regional Editions or special anniversary humidors.
The Allones No. 3 will be available at Switzerland’s La Casa del Habano shops on April 18 before a larger release on April 25 at the country’s Habanos Specialist locations.
While Germany has received the Allones No. 3, where it retails for 17.60 euro each (about $19.20), other regions such as the United Kingdom have not. There is no word yet as to exactly when the Allones No. 3 will start appearing in other countries, but will most likely trickle into the global markets throughout the year.
