Camacho Diploma Returns As Curvy 11/18
Each box of Camacho Special Selection 11/18 contains 18 cigars, and only 1,500 boxes will be released this year.

Camacho Diploma, the nearly 20-year-old cigar brand that relaunched last year as Camacho Diploma Special Selection, is seeing the return of a classic size called 11/18. The format is a special shape for the Camacho brand, an intriguing figurado that tapers at the ends and bulges in the middle. The cigar started shipping to retailers this week.

“We are thrilled to once again offer the special Diploma blend in Camacho’s signature 11/18 format to aficionados across the globe,” said Scott Kolesaire, director of marketing at Davidoff of Geneva USA. “The blend is the top of the pyramid for Camacho in terms of taste and strength.”

Diploma Special Selection is a Honduran puro, rolled only with high-priming Corojo tobaccos. It debuted last year in a single, limited-edition Robusto format. Now it’s back for a second run in the 11/18 size, measuring 6 inches by 54 ring gauge. The cigar is priced at $22.50 and comes packaged in an individual wooden coffin. Each box of Camacho Special Selection 11/18 contains 18 cigars, and only 1,500 boxes will be released this year.

The original Camacho Diploma debuted in 2001. It was owned by the Eiroa family and later sold to Davidoff in 2008. In 2013 Davidoff repackaged and reblended Diploma, but the new version was discontinued in 2015. The cigar was re-released last year as Camacho Diploma Special Selection.

Camacho Diploma Special Selection is rolled at the Diadema Cigars de Honduras S.A. factory, in Danlí, Honduras.
