Cam Newton is bringing a new cigar lounge to his hometown. The star quarterback of the Carolina Panthers is opening a cigar lounge in Atlanta, just in time for this weekend’s big Super Bowl game.
Newton’s cigar lounge is called Fellaship, and the 4,600-square-foot space is a restaurant in addition to a cigar lounge. According to a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Fellaship is hosting a soft opening this weekend with a series of events to capitalize on the glut of visitors coming to the city for Sunday’s Super Bowl. The official grand opening will be in March.
“This will be the ultimate culinary experience,” said Newton in an Instagram video he posted two days ago. In the video, Newton makes it clear that Fellaship is not only a cigar lounge, but also a restaurant. A visit to Fellaship’s website shows extensive menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with such hearty fare as ribeye steak and Scotch salmon that any cigar lover would appreciate.
Fellaship is located in the Castleberry Point building on Olympic Park Drive, near the Mercedes-Benz Stadium where this year’s Super Bowl is being played. The new venue looks to have a well-stocked humidor, with brands such as Ashton, Cohiba and Camacho seen in another video Newton shared earlier today.
According to the Chronicle report, Newton began smoking cigars in 2015, and he indicated he may expand Fellaship to other cities in the future.
