Bigg Golf And Epic Cigar Debut Cigar At 18th Hole

Golf and cigars are two pastimes that are undeniably linked, and a new collaboration between a golf equipment company and cigarmaker underscores the relationship. Bigg Golf, manufacturer of Score Crusher golf balls and the “Hole-in-One” Golf Ball Cigar Holder has teamed up with Dean Parsons of Epic Cigars to create a smoke called the Bigg Stick which debuted at the 18th hole during the Johnny Damon Celebrity Golf Classic in February. The cigars shipped to retailers this week.
For those not too familiar with golf slang, “big stick” is the term used for the golf club known as the driver, a crucial tool in any golfer’s arsenal. The Bigg Stick is available in only one size, a Toro measuring 6 1/2 inches by 54 ring gauge. It consists of an Ecuador Habano wrapper, two binders (one from Nicaragua, the other from the Dominican Republic) and Nicaraguan filler. Blended to be medium in body, Bigg Stick retails for $16 apiece.
The cigars are made at the Tabacalera Von Eiken factory in the Dominican Republic and, according to the company, were aged approximately one year after they were rolled.
For now, Bigg Stick is shipping to retailers in packets of 10. By the end of April, the cigars will come in boxes of 10. Epic says that these are intended to be annual releases made in limited quantities.
