Avo Improvisation 2021 Arrives at Retail

Today would have been the 95th birthday of late jazz musician and cigar ambassador Avo Uvezian. To honor the cigar man’s legacy, Davidoff has released its annual Avo Improvisation Series 2021, a 7 1/2 inch by 50 ring gauge Double Corona that retails for $16.
The ninth installment in the series, Avo Improvisation LE21 is intended to be a medium-bodied smoke and made with an Ecuadoran wrapper, Ecuadoran binder and filler from the Dominican Republic.
The idea behind the Improvisation line, which is different every year, is to approach cigars like jazz. When jazz musicians perform a song, they never quite play it the same way twice. The chords might be the same and so might the words, but you can always count on the musicians to push the limits of the piece with the freedom of improvisation.
Packaged in boxes of 20, the Avo Improvisation LE21 Double Coronas are made at OK Cigars in the Dominican Republic. Production is limited to 2,500 boxes for the U.S. market, with more boxes being distributed globally in May.
