Ashton Symmetry Cigars In Warehouse, Shipping Next Week

If your local shop is on the list, you just might be fortunate enough to be smoking the new Ashton Symmetry cigar in only a few days. They've been backordered since the summer's IPCPR trade show but come next week, Symmetry will start making its way to retailers across the United States.
Ashton's first shipment arrived earlier this week and has been sitting in the company's Philadelphia warehouse, though company vice president Sathya Levin has been tight-lipped about the smokes.
"This is our first shipment of the year. Our sales team doesn't even know we have them in yet," Levin told Cigar Aficionado. "We're shipping out our inaugural release next week. It will take a few weeks for the cigars to trickle in to all the retailers, but this is a limited production and we can only fill a portion of our backorders right now. We're trying to be fair, making sure as many stores as possible get a little taste."
Made in the Dominican Republic by Tabacalera Fuente y Cia., Symmetry is the first new brand to use the Ashton name since Ashton debuted the Estate Sun Grown (ESG) nearly 10 years ago.
Blended by Carlos "Carlito" Fuente Jr., the cigar is the first Ashton to use Nicaraguan tobacco. It's composed of an Ecuadoran wrapper, Dominican binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobacco in the filler.
Symmetry comes packaged in boxes of 25 and offered in five, softly-pressed sizes: Prism, 5 5/8 inches by 46 ring gauge; Robusto, 5 by 50; Sublime, 6 by 52; Belicoso, 5 1/4 by 52; and Prestige, 6 3/4 by 49. They retail from $11.50 to $12.75.
Levin anticipates receiving only one more shipment of Symmetry in 2014.
