Sacred Scales and Dawn of Destiny come in the same three sizes: Robusto, Toro and Gordo.

Sacred Scales and Dawn of Destiny, the two newest blends in Ventura Cigar Co.’s popular Archetype cigar series, are now heading to cigar shops. A collaboration between Ernesto Perez-Carrillo and Ventura general manager Michael Giannini, the Archetype Chapter 3 brands come in the same vitolas and carry the same price points, but sport decidedly different blends.

Billed as a full-bodied smoke, Sacred Scales is rolled with a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, Ecuadoran binder and filler from Nicaragua. Dawn of Destiny, positioned as a medium-to-full bodied blend, is draped in an Ecuadoran cover leaf with binder and filler tobacco from Nicaragua.

Both cigars come packed in 20-count boxes in three sizes: Robusto, at 5 inches by 50 ring gauge ($9.99); Toro, measuring 6 by 52 ($11.49); and Gordo, 6 by 60 ($12.99).

Both new brands, which debuted at this past summer’s industry trade show, were rolled at Perez-Carrillo’s Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. factory in the Dominican Republic.
