If you weren’t able to get the limited-edition Alec Bradley Black Market Estelí Diamond last year, you'll be getting a second chance. The oddly-shaped cigar is returning this summer.
Set for a June release, the Alec Bradley Black Market Estelí Diamond is a diamond-pressed toro that measures 6 1/4 inches by 54 ring gauge. It gets its unusual diamond shape from a special mold that gives the cigar a rhomboid form, as opposed to the squared edges of traditional box pressing.
Retailing for $10.15 each, the Black Market Estelí cigars come packaged in 16-count boxes. They are made with a dark wrapper from Nicaragua, two binders (one Honduran and one Nicaraguan) and fillers from Nicaragua. Unlike the core Black Market Estelí line, Diamond has an extra leaf of ligero in the filler for added strength. According to the company, the smoke is medium- to full-bodied.
The cigar is made in Nicaragua by the Plasencias. Only 1,500 boxes will be released globally.
