A.J. Fernandez to Unveil New World Connecticut at Cigar Inn

Fresh off the heels of their New World cigar debut at the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers trade show in July, father and son Ismael and A.J. Fernandez are at it again with a reblended twist on their latest creation called New World Connecticut.

The cigar is to be unveiled during an exclusive event at Cigar Inn in New York City. New World Connecticut features a San Andrés Mexican binder, filler from Nicaragua and Brazil, and a U.S.A. Connecticut shade wrapper. A Robusto, 5 1/2 inches by 54 ring gauge, will be presented at the event.

"New World was created as a great cigar with a great price for more people to enjoy and afford, and the New World Connecticut will compliment all the Connecticut smokers," Kris Katchaturian, managing partner at A.J. Fernandez Cigars told Cigar Aficionado. "The guys at Cigar Inn have been great friends and supporters of A.J. Fernandez so we decided to introduce it at the dinner to get more feedback."

A popular smoking lounge and retail destination, Cigar Inn boasts the only Cigar Aficionado branded lounge and humidor in the United States. The debut party will feature a meal by Rothmann's Steakhouse and a premium whiskey pairing for the new cigar provided by Gentleman Jack.

As with the previous New World installment, New World Connecticut is manufactured at the A.J. Fernandez Cigar Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Although specifics are forthcoming, it is known that New World Connecticut has an official release date for early 2015, will launch in four sizes, and will be priced equal to or less than the original New World lineup.
