Aganorsa Leaf is adding a massive torpedo to its JFR Lunatic Maduro brand, and it’s expected to reach retailers early next week. Dubbed El Grande, this darkly wrapped behemoth measures 5 1/2 inches by 80 ring gauge.
The new cigar has a suggested retail price of $9.10 and will initially be sold through retail members of the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) via the organization’s new Product Hub. A portion of sales will be donated to help fund the PCA. After the first month in the market, El Grande will be available to all retailers.
“PCA provides vital support for our lobbying efforts at both the state and federal level and so we felt launching the Lunatic El Grande through PCA will help in those endeavors” said Terence Reilly, vice president of sales and marketing at Aganorsa Leaf.
The JFR Lunatic brand is known for its hefty smokes with ring gauges of 60, 70 and 80. Cigars in the Maduro line are covered in a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, with the rest of the tobacco from farms in Nicaragua owned by Aganorsa.
Like the rest of the line, JFR Lunatic El Grande Maduro is made at the Aganorsa Leaf factory in Nicaragua and ships in boxes of 28.
