C.A.O. Adds New Size to La Traviata
Posted: March 31, 2010
C.A.O. International Inc.'s best-rated cigar brand is getting a new size. The C.A.O. La Traviata Animado was scheduled to arrive at C.A.O.'s Nashville, Tennessee headquarters last week.
The new smoke is a traditional corona gorda size, measuring 5 5/8 inches long by 46 ring gauge. Once considered quite a fat cigar, the 46 ring gauge now seems almost slim in modern day cigar circles.
"This 5 5/8 by 46 size is one that is near and dear to my heart as it happens to be my favorite cigar size, the Cuban Punch Punch," said C.A.O.'s Jon Huber, director of lifestyle marketing for the company. "In fact, I lobbied hard to have this size in the originalLa Traviata lineup when it launched last summer, but got outvoted."
The Animado will have a suggested retail price of $4.95.
