The Macanudo Inspirado line is getting two new brand extensions—Macanudo Inspirado White and Inspirado Black. As the colors hint, White will be covered in a light Connecticut-seed wrapper while Black dons dark broadleaf.
Macanudo Inspirado White consists of an aged Ecuador Connecticut wrapper, Indonesian binder and filler from Mexico and Nicaragua. The cigar comes in three sizes: Robusto, at 5 inches by 50 ring gauge ($6.49); Toro, 6 1/2 by 50 ($6.99); and Churchill, 7 by 48 ($7.29).
By contrast, Inspirado Black is more full bodied, made with a broadleaf wrapper, Ecuador Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan filler from Estelí. The sizes of Black vary slightly, with a Robusto at 4 7/8 by 48 ($6.99); Toro, 5 7/8 by 54 ($7.49); and Churchill, 7 by 48 ($7.99).
Shipping in July, both brands are packaged in boxes of 20 and produced in the Dominican Republic at General Cigar Dominicana.
It should be noted that Inspirado Black is not the same cigar as the catalog product of the same name.
