Toraños Set for Cuba-Themed Cigar Tour

Posted: March 19, 2009
Carlos and Charlie Toraño, chairman and president of Toraño Cigars, respectively, are embarking on a 35-city tour beginning next week to promote the company's brands, particularly the Carlos Toraño Exodus 50 Years.
The Our Roots Run Deep Tour starts on March 23 at Cigar Haven, in Fishers, Indiana. "We intend to break out of what has become hum-drum smoke shop events," said Charlie Toraño. "The theme will be the Cuban life, and we'll provide Cuban music, along with authentic Cuban food and libations."
Felipe Sosa, a cigar roller who has worked for the Toraños for a decade, will also be on tour, making special cigars that can't be bought on cigar store shelves. Toraño merchandise will be given away to those buying cigars, and Zaya Gran Reserva rum will be poured.
Some tour dates have been posted at torano.com. The complete schedule will be posted soon.
