The Blazer Bullet
Michael Moretti
Posted: February 9, 2004
The new Bullet lighter from Blazer is a straight-shooting torch lighter.
Made of metal, it is solid and sturdy. Its tapered construction and sleek exterior are reminiscent of a large-caliber bullet, and it fits as neatly in the palm of your hand as it might in the barrel of a high-powered machine gun. But this bullet packs butane rather than gunpowder.
The windproof torch is triggered by an electronic ignition. The flame is a little smaller than that found on most cigar lighters, and is not adjustable. The small flame is a drawback, but it does allow the body of the lighter to remain cool. And it conserves fuel, limiting the number of refills.
Available at fine tobacco shops, the Bullet lighter retails for $39.95 and comes in silver, gold, black or copper. Call (631) 694-5058 for more information.
