Padilla to Roll Miami Nub Cigar

Nub Cigars is getting a version rolled in Miami. Ernesto Padilla will roll the cigar in his new Miami factory, Fabrica de Tabacos Padilla.
This limited-release cigar, expected to debut in April, will be a four-inch diadema constructed with Nicaraguan Habano tobacco and will have a suggested retail price of $9.
Nub creator Sam Leccia told Cigar Insider that smokers can expect a special creation from Padilla. "This cigar is going to be a little different," said Leccia. "It's going to be a unique shape and Ernesto is going to bring some tradition to his blend."
Padilla said that he expects the cigar to be full bodied and intricate. "This is due to the requirements of making a figurado in that size," said Padilla. Leccia met Padilla through Jose Oliva when Leccia started working with Oliva Cigar Co. in 2004. When Padilla opened his factory and lounge in October 2008, Leccia wanted to get involved with the establishment by creating a new cigar with Padilla.
The Nub Miami signifies a different direction for Padilla, who usually prefers traditional, smaller-ring cigars.
